We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for various duties related to loading and unloading of trailers and containers, materials handling, and other general warehouse operations.
Overview
• Must hold a valid forklift licence for a minimum of 1 year as well as 1 years’ experience working in a warehouse
• Experience in loading / unloading groupage shipments and trailers although this is not essential as we would complete in house training
• Experience in handling ADR, although this is not essential as we would complete in house training
• Must have IT experience
• Would be required to use our in house software (training will be provided) to book shipments in / out using iPads
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have good attention to detail
• In time the ‘odd’ Saturday AM would be required (however this would be paid @ time ½)
Description
• Unloading / reloading international and domestic vehicles from single groupage shipments to full loads
• Book shipments in / out as well as organising them in the warehouse
• Use our in house freight software
• Labelling & checking incoming shipments
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment
• Ensure that all health and safety processes are followed in line with company policy
Package
• 4 day week comprising of 40 hours + overtime
• Salary subject to experience
• Holidays 16 days + bank holidays rising to 20 days + bank holidays after 5 years’ service
